OVERVIEW

Botman is a powerful click scoring and filtration system and can be enabled as a TQ system inAdKernel . This configuration document lists down all the steps required along with the respective screen shots. Since AdKernel provides two major types of traffic management solutions, namely XML (Pop/Push) and Display with RTB (Banner / Native / Video), Botman can be enabled for both of them.

Goals

  1. To achieve the correct configuration
  2. To get started in the shortest possible time

Pre-Requisites

Please get a business id (bizid) from the Botman Team OR post a signup at app.botman.ninja.

Concepts

AdKernel primarily integrates with Botman in two ways. Real Time and ClickLogs.

Scoring

Scoring is a method in which AdKernel essentially gets a click score from Botman and allows to classify the publishers and their subids. Scoring is done at a supply level or the pubfeed level. This method is applicable to both XML and Display.

Filtration

Filtration is done at the demand level or the remote feed level. Filtration on the other hand allows you to block the clicks / bid requests as they come, thereby rejecting the same. This method is applicable to both XML and Display.

Traffic Quality and it's levels

In AdKernel, Traffic Quality is often referred to as TQ and is available in 3 levels. Based on your account configuration, configuration and setup of TQ can be either as text or as a numerical value.

TQ Levels (as Text)

Low TQ : High Risk. No clicks are sent to Botman for scoring.

Mid TQ:  Medium Risk , It stops NonHuman Traffic

High TQ: Low Risk. It stops NonHuman, Spam and Proxy Traffic.

TQ Levels (as Numeric)

21% : Mid TQ. Medium Risk , It stops NonHuman Traffic

36%: High TQ. Low Risk. It stops NonHuman, Spam and Proxy Traffic.
